Kamloops Target Sports Association holds two a year. May 4th and September 29th this year. Kelowna seems to have given up due to lack of volunteers. Hopefully they will come back this year.
 
Last year I ran a 10.5 LMT with norc 1911 and 590A1. This year I am going to run a NR ACR, CZ Shadow and the 590. Going to have to start hitting the gym more to lug around the ACR!
 
Armalite AR15 with a Burris XTS. (Soon to be Leopold HAMR)
Vang Comp 20" 870 wingmaster with Burris fast fire mag tube extension and saddle.
Sig P220 9mm.

All of work better than me most days.

1-4, 1-6... Seem to be the popular choice...

At the matches I've shot there have been targets from really up close to 500+ yards.
You don't need a huge amount of magnification for the distant targets, but a little helps.

I envy the guys who shoot irons and can hit those far away targets with little trouble...

I had a spare Sabre Defense lower sitting around. It had been purchased from Wolverine a while ago. The LPK was probably from DPMS. The trigger is an AMERICAN GOLD .
I bought a complete JP upper... 'Slid out the front pivot pin and rear take-down pin on the lower. Lined up the front pivot holes on the upper with the ones on the lower and slid the pivot pin in.
Closed the upper onto the lower and slid the rear take-down pin in.

"Build" complete!

Well almost...

I then installed a Warne R.A.M.P 30mm scope mount I got in a goody bag at a 3-gun match I shot in October.
Into the mount I installed a Leupold VX6 1-6x24 scope...


There... Done!

My only problem was that my former 3-gun rifle was sofa king heavy it was getting hard for me to carry. This unit is much lighter and... Although I used to scoff at the idea of comps on .223 rifles... I am now a convert.

After the gas is adjusted, took 5 or six shots and a few turns with the allen key... No problems.

If you added it up... 1 hour not includeing the drive to the range to adjust the gas and zero in.

OK Mr 667 I would like the 411 on your 223. Specifically the DOUBLE STAR - M4 SOCOM STOCK

Why, When and Where and yes I'll be taking notes - I've seen you make more comments on the price of Maple Syrup in Oct than you gave me on this build.
 
Why...? Because its what all the cool kids use.
Where..?. Probably Brownells
When...? I dunno... Bought it a while ago.
