Where to find 357 Projectiles

Who stocks higher quality 357 magnum projectiles?

I am looking at developing a hot 357 magnum load, but I can only seem to find standard Berry plated bullets. What does everyone prefer to use and who has them in stock?

more importantly what are you shooting them out of?

everything from 110gr to 270gr bullets has been shot out of a 357Mag.

once you get to 180gr or above, a cast bullet of 50/50 Pb/WW+2%tin would be all you need. even 70/30 may work better with heavier.
 
if you want a big boom, then i use 125gr nosler on top of 21gr of h110w/296 otherwise i use cast or berry's plated 158gr on top of 15.5gr of h110/w296.

I am planning on shooting them out of a 4.2" and also a 6" Ruger GP100.

Obviously your results have been different than mine. I used to shoot Frontiers but the shipping is harsh. When I plan a trip to Hamilton I usuually also pick up some Aim bullets (and powder at Lawrys). I use 9mm in my Spartan and they produce nice tiny groups for me. TC
 
FWIW: in every single case that I have seen where someone has complained to me about accuracy issues they have come directly back to loading procedures, namely crimp. You can't crimp plated bullets like you can with jacketed or you will tear the plate material when the bullet is launched and it will yaw or tumble. This is explained on the Aim web page for anyone who cares to read instructions.
 
The bullets I got were mislabeled, I wanted 147gr 9mm and they were 150 to 153gr and over sized. They didn't crimp foot at all in my 38/357. It was a bad batch so I black balled them. If I was passing trough I would try them again pending the price. The 5k of frontier bullets worked great for me so I stuck with them. Berets are great to, just need to order 5k+ to make shipping worth it.

Well in the future, if you are dissatisfied with a product (from any company...not just Aim), it might be worth a phone call before you post crap about them on the internet. It might just be that they will bend over backwards to make sure they have a happy customer.

Just sayin'....

Fair enough. But that's why this forum is about opinions of which that is mine of them, As well as others.
 
I don't know. I buy Wolf bullets and am happy about them. They can handle any pressure my gun can handle. So why do you need special bullets for higher pressures or magnum loads? Wolf bullets are cheap and work just fine.
