A friend of mine has a neat .22 rifle that we are trying to find some information on. It is a Browning semi, tube feed- loads through the butt and is bottom eject. It doesn't really have much for markings and is quite a unique piece. Looking for any information on it we can find in regards to history, value and production numbers. Appreciate any help you can offer.

It sounds to me as though your friend has the famous Browning Semi Auto .22, been produced since early 1900's and still produced to the same specs. Great lil rifle, one of the 10 "must have's" in one's life. They just keep ticking along.

just remove the space between the h an the t.
edit: through the butt or side of the stock? maybe a replacement stock? i've only seen side of the stock and upper tang load Fabrique Nationale.
