No wonder people have screwed up ideas how to handle and shoot the AR after watching those idiotic shows/movies. Real man shots without rear sight!

Looks closer to 100m (to me anyway), but that doesn't really matter. Don't worry though your fellow CGNers were all over this ##### up within 10 minutes of it being on tv. ;)

That whole scene was pretty terrible. I mean I know they were national guard not spec ops but initially they all just stood around waiting to get hit by governors bunch of clowns. No taking cover or returning fire or anything.
Than the governor decides to bash a mans head in with a collapsible plastic stock of a short AR carbine. I'm surprised he didn't break it.

All in all the rest of the series fails in general with anything regarding firearms.
While season one was pretty good, season two started mediocre and headed to terribad in record time.

I agree, worst scene in the whole show. When being fired on, military doctrine is to return fire in a supressing manor. They didn't do this. Is it possible for a bunch of yokals to ambush a national gaurd group, sure, more then a year after a zombie out break, no freaking way, these guys would be so keyed to any sound or movement it would not have gone the way it did.

Guys, use your heads here. The rear sight is for when he's watching his back. Since he's with his group he probably gave it to whoever is watching his back.

Hmm, you know, now I kinda want to see an AR set up with forward mounted iron sights, like an AK uses. Would that work?

A very first scene of the first episode of the first season when one cop suggest to another to take of the safety, both have the Glocks :)

This is old new...but LOL none the less. its tv...tv shows are ALWAYS with with gun mistakes. Add to this the actor in this shot is British and probably pooped himself while holding this gun and all starts to come together.

Watching any bad episode of TheWalkingDead is better than having to sit through an episode of "FlipIt or Forget about it" or some other dumb ass reno show with the Wife. The only cast from a HGTV show that could handle any SH*t from a full zombie invasion would be Holmes makes it right. Especially cool handy tool would be the butane powered nailguns

You're right.

I don't watch Holmes any more..... He sold out to the Holy church of the Home Depot in season 2 of his Holmes on homes show......

No respect for that man afterwards!
