This is crazy right now. People with money are paying any price for an SKS. Wish I had a few more to sell!

One of the problems here now seems to be that even the Liberals are getting politically scared of what the far left wing in power will actually get passed now.
I have two BIL who don't know one end of any weapon buy both pistols and AR Platform rifles. All in the last 60 days. They have always been anti gun.
All in the late 60 year range and retired. They didn't even ask a price, just bought at full retail!

How the heck are you cainesy? Long time no talk. Well, I put a 1951 original up two weeks ago and it went for $750 US. That was my BIN. I could have tried a higher number
but as an old guy I do not believe in totally screwing folks. I started a bit below normal prices and away it went. One guy just hit the BIN. He told me later he didn't care about price, he just didn't want to fool around spending time watching a ###X auction. I only have one Russian out of all of them left. A 49 refurb and it I think it is sold to a member down there. Wasn't going to sell it, but he offered me over $500 more than I paid for it. Oh well, more time for my Swede Mausers and I can buy more of them now. Come on down and visit us again soon! Steve
 
Holy Crap!!! Why? I know they can't buy Chinese SKS because of the ban on Norinco firearms and Chinese made firearms, but why a ridiculous amount on a Russian one we could buy here for $300ish?

Russians are illegal to import. Years ago an agreement was made with Russia. Basically, it said you don't send here or to our former member states and we don't send there. Stupid, but that is a mutual arms agreement made.

Hope they don't run out too soon, still have too many I want. And still want another 49, although from what Al at westrifle posted on here the other day that may not happen.......
 
Man o man, things are getting strange ain't they. How far do ya think this new mag and aw ban crap is going to go on for. I've been watching and things are getting weird. NY and Cali are in deep and now I see CO and Mo are following suit. Hope you all beat this crap, we're pulling for you.

We lost in Colorado. Not good. The leftists in many states are trying and in some cases succeeding with new anti gun laws. In Mo, the head of the Senate Committee just stated all gun laws have to come through him and he swears it is DEAD on Arrival. It cannot even come to any vote unless he schedules it. So, we think fine there.
A good number of states have already voted to and others about to pass laws that state they will not enforce a Federal Gun Ban. That State Officers will arrest any Federal Officer coming into their State trying to enforce a new Federal Ban of any kind. People are beginning to pick sides now. People I know myself even are arming themselves and stocking ammo when never before did they. Even Liberals I never thought ever would. I see a dark cloud on the horizon cainsey.

Thanks my friend. And you are correct, it would probably spread North. Many here fear these people are just following the path of Great Britain. I suspect everyone here also knows how gun ownership there turned out in the end. But in the US there were well over 100,000,000 guns owned according to a 5 year old report. Many, many more now. Most gun companies are sold out for 9months right now even if all orders ceased. What's that say?
 
My local Gun store in a Border town had a rush on 7.62x39mm in Jan. Sold 2 skids in a week all to us customers poping over the border for it. he said some from as far away as Ohio. It seems the price has gone from $200 to up to $800 case in places.

It is amazing for us to see the vast number of women taking shooting courses, going to the range, and buying guns. Mostly started about 2 tears ago and then really accelerated last year. In our gun friendly states, women have been paying $100 to $200 for certified professional hand gun instruction. Then get a permit to carry.
In the past two years since Iowa went to a must issue state, locally I hear nothing about purse snatching anymore. The toughs and gang members aren't so cocky now.
They have no idea, man or woman, who has a gun. That little old lady who looks like a target may well shoot you now. My wife now also owns two SKS.
