New SKS or CZ stocks.

I bought the ATI monte carlo stock for my SKS. A similarly styled stock in laminate would be excellent.

This looks awesome, but would prefer to have a thumbhole or pistol grip

found this...funny that the one rifle i would really love to have, but can't as a canadian...the FAL. Now i know people really frown upon modified SKS's, and most people who can afford to own and shoot "better quality" or more expensive rifles like to #### on the SKS, because "why would you modify an SKS when you could buy a CZ 858 or a better rifle?" But i find it to be one of the most intriguing firearms of the 20th century, and it's low cost makes it perfect for custom builds for a lot of people who don't make a lot of money, and sure you can buy a CZ 858, but the stock furiture is ugly, so you buy custom furniture and optics/accessories, now you've spent well over a grand getting the look you want. Well, what's wrong with buying a norinco, or russian refurb for $170, spending $200-$300 hell even $400 on an AK or FAL (or even VZ 58 lol!) look-alike stock, getting the look you want for less than the base cost of an 858? Anyway, my point is, how bad ass is this?

FAL/SKS hybrid...not 100% sure about legality, obviously the FAL is prohib so sticking the lower receiver of an FAL (or one similarly designed) on an sks receiver would likely be prohib as well, but a machined "dummy" lower that factory sks parts would snap into, with wood furniture i think would be quite nice, legal, and obviously cost less. In my opinion, the FAL looks better than an AK, but you could accomplish both "stylings" with the same "dummy" lower, and it would surely be popular with a lot of SKS owners. I'm not personally a fan of the composite "black rifle" wannabe stocks, like ATI or tapco, or even the new promag stock. i like metal and wood...and don't get me wrong, i love the SKS as it is, but i think a wood and metal stock with a pistol grip would be fun too! I know this sort of thing has been done before, but something commercially available takes the tooling skill and tool/shop access out of the equation for the average joe with a visa card :)

These are clearly homemade, but a comercial production could look a lot cleaner...

This FAL hybrid could use an FAL fore-stock/hand guard

This AK look-alike could use a slightly shorter "lower". for example, the pistol grip could intrude more on the trigger guard requiring less "lower receiver" at the rear, and a less "AK-like" fore-stock (more like the FAL hybrid above) with the lower hang guard extending back past the recoil lug would give the rifle a better overall look, with less receiver showing ahead of the magazine. Even a true AK lower fore-stock extends further back in comparison to the gas tube cover.

I personally think that is an awesome idea. A FAL SKS stock kit would look great.

I would love a Galil style stock for my CZ. I have been holding off on buying a stock for my CZ because this is the one I want, but I cant find it anywhere! IMO its the best looking folding stock for the CZ 858
