It comes out to 271 dollars shipped to Newfoundland for me. Considering the local refurbs are 299 + tax, it's a no brainer.

This latest batch from Westrifle has a new pinning method that leaves the exterior intact, and has a tab on the follower that is pinned on to an existing pivot point. It is the nicest SKS mag block yet, and to get a 49 with it would be very nice.

As pristine a collector as one could get as far as unmolesteds go. Got to be an SKS nut to understand maybe.

They aren't going to last forever, but the US won't be getting the Russians or the Chinese versions any time soon. Only the ones they have already within their borders.

All 49s are refurb so far. You find an unrefurbed 49, you've won the lottery while being struck by lightning during an earthquake on the moon.

49s are first year of production and a bit more scarce compared to the rest of the production years. It has some differences compared to the following years. Spike bayonet, squared gas block, firing pin spring aand a few other little bits.
