Tavor's

5.56 is the same round but a hotter load. General advice is that a .223 barrel might not be built to handle the higher pressures of 5.56. However in the case of the Tavor, their barrels are very good, and should have no trouble with 5.56. They are stamped .223 because they are the "civilian equivalent."

There's lots of guys who have talked this inside and out when it comes or ARs and 556 vs .223 rem vs 223 wylde etc

Word from IWI on the tiny marks on TK-Hryciuk's charging handle:

"The way the locking springs are produced, they are bent differently every time, and TK-Hryciuk's was bent a little backwards which was causing it to catch. They said it's a non-issue and once the spring clears enough material it won't deform any more. They said the spring should be bent forward so when it engages the ramp it doesn't come into contact at all, but because they're mass produced, it's hard to make every one perfect."

I'm surprised IWI even replied with an explanation. I would have replied with, "Are you ####ing kidding me?"

I swear some of you people go full retard on the tiniest little marks on rifles.

This wasn't a "tiny" little mark. The charging handle has a good chunk of the forward part of it missing now after using it for 2 weeks. Normally when you get a brand new rifle you expect it not to eat itself in places it shouldn't be happening. If you think I care about cosmetic appearances on my firearms I'd be more than happy to post some pics of my Benelli M4 and my ACR.

A good chunk? By my measurements it's no more than 1/8" wide and maybe .07" deep. I bet you also tell the ladies you have a 12" ####.

It is a tiny cosmetic issue in a non-critical portion of the rifle, and you cared about it. You're being ridiculousness.
