Gas vs piston

Well... To add to this since I started it. I went with a DI core15. Should be here tomorrow. Wanstalls also has piston uppers for about 1000. Maybe in a bit I'll pick one of those up as well or just go for the whole piston package. I'm still very new to ARs so I felt I should learn the basics on the first system. Thanks everyone.

Nothing wrong with that dude! I'm sure you'll be very happy with the decision you made - its a great rifle!

The only piston AR I would trust is an LMT or an HK.

So aside from the name of the companies that make them... what are you basing that opinion on?

Trust all you like - they all can have issues....

Frankly I'll shoot the crap out of my PWS - designed like a tank, and very very robust!

HK - Tool Needed to clean piston!

I feel I should point out that that LMT barrel has been turned down quite a bit... I believe LMT barrels are .75 - .85 behind the gas block… could be the cause of that break… I dunno though, just speculation… but looks like the barrel could have been flexed and it not being stock isn’t exactly an indicator of LMT quality…

I wouldn't trust anything coming from the ARfcom clowns neither.

LMT has a reliable proven platform and have extensive engineering skills and knowledge. In other words, they know their ####.

The HK is battle proven.
