so what buffer in what gas system and barrel length?

I am looking for the softest shooting AR i can get (16" mid)

I've tried both the H2 and 9mm in a 10.5" and 16" and I couldn't tell the difference. Tinkering with the powder load of your cartridges is probably where you should start.

I run my gun on factory ammo 55gr for short range stuff 69 or 62 too 300 meters also running a very good brake ( think I just have cabin fever lol)

I have an H2 buffer in a 16" barrelled rifle that uses a carbine-length gas system. The recoil's a bit snappy but I think that the gas port on the barrel's been opened up a wee bit too much.

A/T Adjustable Kit from Heavybuffers maxed out to 6.0z. 11.5" Piston Carbine, perfect with a gassy round. 20" Rifle, runs sweet. 16" Carbine, great with Light rounds, needs heavyer for gassy rounds.

In sr15e3 11.5"

I run a silver one.

:D

Try an AR-restor (sp?). I got mine from Brownelles awhile ago (more than a year ago, less than 5 yrs ago)......

Mystic precision (Jerry) took a nork and did a bunch of "stuff" to it to make it more accurate and soft shooting (bang for your buck thread)......

It may net you more than one idea for your build......

Cheers!
