What do you guys think? Cooey 60, mossberg 146b

What is the ballpark on both these? Were they good guns or tempermental? Are they very hard to find parts for?
I have a guy going to send me pics of these two. These two + cash for a new ruger 10/22. I`m debating how much cash to ask for? I honestly don`t have a clue what these are worth or if they are even worth having? If they are something that will decrease in value a little bit over time....I don`t want them. I need an opinion or two please. Thanks,Darcy
 
If the Mossberg 146b has all 3 sights and in descent shape it could be worth $2-300 alone. Post the pictures when you get them. It's a lot easier to evaluate with something to look at.

Yes, the Cooey 60 is a dime a dozen and unless it is in like new condition, the average price is $125.00. Will be a long time before it appreciates much.
The 146B on the other hand is a different matter. Prices on vintage Mossbergs are climbing. Depending on condition, and if it is complete and original, as mentioned it could be a $300.00 gun. And the value will continue to rise somewhat. But be warned. If it does not have the original sights, including peep sight, you could be looking at $200.00 to replace all three sights depending on the day and who is bidding on ebay. It would have also come with sling swivels. They have the look and feel of a full size rifle.

Laugh at me if you wish, but I`m not familiar at all with the mossberg or the cooey as a matter of fact. What do you mean: All 3 sights. Aren`t there usually just the two??
 
No, a lot of vintage Mossbergs are drilled and tapped on the left side of the receiver for a peep sight. It should have an S130 peep sight on it. If it was taken off, you are looking at roughly $75.00 for the peep sight. The other sights are roughly $50.00 each.

And he's rite on the money !!! About half of them you find are missing at least one sight. Usually the peep ! Most of the "value/cost" in the old Mossbergs is in the sights. Swivels run $40 a pair for detachables as well. $20-25 for non detachable.
 
There are no sights to be had at all. He has a scope mounted to it. I`d have to ask about the sights. As for the cooey......not worth a cup of coffee after seeing it.
I went on the local radio station(we have an hour each day where you can phone in and buy/sell). I asked about anything Gevarm. I have a guy that has one with the 20 shot mag that might be willing to talk.
 
If there are no sights or swivels on the 146B it is a $125.00 gun give or take on condition. If a bit rough I wouldn't allow anymore trhan $100.00, maybe a bit more than $125.00 if it was really nice and original if you want it as a shooter. It will be pretty accurate with a decent scope.
 
I'm not familiar with the Mossberg, but the Cooey 60 is generally worth about $100, maybe a bit more if it has the old Weaver B4 scope on it.

From what others are saying, you might actually be getting a bit less than what the Ruger is technically 'worth', (I personally think them worth roughly $160 brand new, not $260.) Maybe if the other fellow is willing to cover the shipping both ways... but then, I'd be up for just about anything to get a Ruger out of my house, so what do I know.
 
Put a scope on the 146B and it will be the most accurate .22 you ever want and you won't need to bother with the Cooey or the iron sights.
 
Its been awhile on this. This deal never panned out. One rifle was coated with that rock type coating and the 146 wasn`t in the best of shape.
