Ladies and Gentelmen, my first foray into the intriguing world of the AR. A Windham Weaponry AR-15 and a Panther Arms AR-10. And I must conclude, I am quite addicted. Both firearms are brand new. I have fired about 30 rounds out of the AR-15.

Very nice! What optic do you have on the AR-15? NCStar Mark III?

You are correct. The Mark III seems like a real nice fit for the Windham as it was an SRC model(sight ready carbine) and all it came with was the picatinny rails. I had a chance to take the Windham up to the range before the first major snowfall and try her out. Couldn't quite get the elevation high enough so I've since shimmed the scope mount with some brass shim stock. Can't wait for spring, or an indoor range for that matter!

What range were you shooting at? How far off were you hitting?

I was shooting at the St. John's Rod & Gun Club in Newfoundland, and it's not usually plowed when the snow hits unfortunatly. I was shooting about 2 or 3 inches low at 50 yards in the start of a snow storm. But the accuracy seemed great for the conditions, so I shimed the rear of the scope mount. We've had some mild weather lately, I guess I should check to see if the range is opened again.
