So forgive me, i'm a long time shooter of various guns...pistol, shotgun, rifle; but this is a quick story of how i discovered my new found love !!! i recently came across a laminate russian SKS at my local gun store, i was there just window shopping and not planning on buying another gun ( my wife made me promise !!.....but thats a different story), then i saw it....i had seen them online and new roughly the prices they where going for. so i purchased it ! (sometimes it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission).. well today i took it out and shot an SKS for the first time.........alls i can say is that i'm HOOKED !!!. i had brung out a couple other rifles but never got to shooting them, i was having too much fun !!!. earlier this week i had ordered a crate of ammo for it from Trade ex and told a buddy i would split it with him, but now i kind of want to keep it all for myself !, anyways after a couple hundered rounds today i kept asking myself why i hadn't gotten one sooner ????, anyways i'm not sure why i'm posting this, becuase i'm sure you're already aware of the hypnotic powers a SKS possesses !!lol

this picture was approx.30 yards (paced off) standing freehand without touching the sights.

They are addictive, I have five so far since Christmas and havn't fired one yet. I can't wait to try one out soon.
I hope mine are as accurate as yours.

Haven't got mine yet but love shooting other people's .

The fact that they are a piece of history is sooooo appealing to me .

I shoot my 858 more then my .22s now , can't wait to add an SKS to the range trips .

If you think the SKS is fun just wait until you shoot a CZ 858. ;)

After enjoying a couple of SKS's for a while i got a chance to try my friends 858 and i thought it would be the next thing on my list, but honestly i liked the sks better and though i wouldn't say no if i was given one, i can't see myself going out and getting one.
Now another SKS, that's a whole different story...

Same here, At some point I may fork out the $700.00 or so for one but presently I am happy with my SKS's.

There is no cure, sorry, have two, want another, just bought an SVT-40, trying to break the sks addiction, not sure how it will take. (haven't asked for firgiveness yet either!)

Glad im not the only one! Everything item i buy thats around 200 i think damn ii could have bought another sks

The problem I have with the $200 value is that there is no flucking way that I can sell a rifle as good as an SKS for $200, so I am stuck with them
