I've seen this as well and tend to agree with most of what they say (not just because I value the opinions of these men so much). I agree the sights are the first thing I would change. Pretty cool to hear I'm like LAV in the sense that I'm not sensitive to how triggers feel!
I'm extremely keen on trying a GripForce adapter as an option to alter the grip angle of a Glock but I'm sure it won't work for me because of my tiny hands. I have to stick with Gen 4s instead of Gen 3s because the extra 2mm makes a big enough difference for me so I'm sure a GF adapter would add back at least 2 more mm even though it would make the angle more comfortable for me.

Wow, I could spend a year with each of those guys and not scratch the surface - it's the first time I've seen them all together. No real surprises on the content though, which I guess, is a very good thing. As far as the grip plug goes, Glock left that space open originally because Glock mags were not meant to fall free - the early Gen 1 Glock mags swelled slightly when fully loaded which acted like a mag break to stop the mag dropping clear, in order to remove a mag you used your thumb and forefinger to pull the mag out.
Definitely no big surprises for anybody remotely switched on on guns. But yeah, that's like the Mount Rushmore of tactical shooting right there.
The one big shocker in there for me was that Ken Hackathorn can go for fifteen minutes, fully conscious, without swearing once. I mean even figuring on cuts and multiple takes...that is really amazing.

A video a lot of people should watch before buying a Glock. So many people spend a fortune on titanium this or that and cry about failures after they lighten every spring chasing some magical trigger pull. These mods are simple and will help IMPROVE your shooting, not just empty your wallet.
Sorry, but I'm a firm believer that "bolt-ons" DO NOT improve your shooting. Some may improve your shot, but the foundations will still be faulted. Your first dollar should go towards proper training. After that, feel free to customize your heart out.
I suppose I'm just flabbergasted at the amount of "tacticool" fan boys I see at the range lately. I swear they bolt on every new gimmick they see, yet still shoot 6" groups at ten yards....
That being said. Ironically I had, just prior to watching the clip, purchased one of the mentioned upgrades haha

Here here!! Mods of a practical nature such as many of those mentioned in the video are great, but nothing replaces sound fundamentals fostered through proper professional training.

I wasnt trying to suggest any of these mods would help a novice shooter right out of the box. Just that the small upgrades/tweaks they suggested would help enhance your ability once its there. A lot of people that start out shooting Glocks poorly fall into the trap of believing that "pimping" it will solve their problems, which they never do.
Totally agree.
Learn how to shoot well first, then you can actually tell if you need to modify something to fit your shooting style.
I like stock Glocks, but the plastic sights are silly imo. It's a weak point that becomes worn quickly.

But I think that Glock owners are not the worst for trying to "pimp" their guns. That is 1911 owners. I say this as a 1911 guy who primarily shoots Glocks now.
And I think that the only real reason that Glock and 1911 owners are prone to swapping parts on their guns is that those are really the two big guns to shoot, so there are 8 million parts makers and 80 million stupid options.
Nobody swaps anything on the CZ75, for example, because you can barely get holsters for them, let alone go-faster aftermarket parts. But there is not a holster maker on the planet that doesn't do Glock 17s and 5" 1911s.
It would probably be easier to find an aftermarket hammer for a glock than for most other handguns excluding the 1911.
I agree fully with this. I own 7 restricteds and they are all either Glock or 1911, Ive owned a bunch of others, and liked a few, namely a Sig 226 with SRT that I had for a little while, but settled on two platforms and stuck with them. People can get away with pimping Glocks at times because they are easy to detail strip and the parts require extremely little (ghost rocket) or no fitting at all. A lot of guys that try to trick out 1911's end up butchering them trying to install parts they dont know how to, without any of the tools they need. And dont forget your punisher or zombie grips
