LEGAL 10 round SKS with detachable mag...accomplished!..

^^ Maybe....but that requires capital, and i for one dont plan on having any part of this project of mine shipped to China or anywhere else other than Canada. We as fellow gun enthusiasts dont NEED this badly enough to once again outsource to a 3rd world country.

so just to clarify, the adapter wouldnt be drop in. It would require machining to the sks itself? If thats the case, would it be possible to just buy the entire sks from you? I certainly dont know any machine shops that would do the job...

I will support anyone who thinks like this. Hope to see these things go main stream soon.

Great to see a Canadian taking charge and leading into the next demand for a sks mod. I would say patent your adaptor once your test phase is complete, very interested to follow along, since i have been asking my self for the last couple months the same question? what i could do to make a 10rd mag fit in a sks.

this might be a stupid question, but would it be legal/possible to just make a 10 round mag out of aluminum or steel that would click into the stock "mag slot" on the gun? or something semi permanent on the bottom with a spring so you can just feed all 10 rounds off the stripper clip in?

Nope.

so are you saying its illegal? or that its not possible to make? what if its not technicaly a mag and just a permanent "tray" on the bottom with a spring pushing the rounds up into the barrel? if you can machine out the gun and attach whatever kind of receiver on to it, i dont see why you cant just make something more permanent since your feeding in stripper clips from the top anyway.

To legally hold 10 rounds it has to be DESIGNED FOR a pistol. If it fits a pistol that is commonly available in the Canadian market, and you say that's what it's for, then it's legal.

If you designed it to put in your SKS then the limit is 5 rounds.

A fixed magazine is a magazine.

Or a manual action (bolt, pump, lever)
