Has anybody seen a Savage 10 Precision Carbine lately?

I am pretty sure I can beat everyone on the price paid for my PC.

I first discovered it in a local gunsmith shop completely disassembled and lying in bucket. The story was that after only bout 50 rounds through it, the owner had gotten a live round stuck in the chamber (don't know how) and the smith had to pull the barrel to get the round out safely. At that point the owner decided the entire episode freaked him out and he wanted to sell the rifle. On a whim I said, "I'll buy it for $500". A few days later my offer was accepted and I had bought myself a rifle. With the smith's help we reassembled the rifle and got it properly headspaced.

I hadn't had a 308 in a few years and the only components I had lying around were 125gr Ballistic Tips and Varget. I found a load in the book and made some up. From day one, this rifle has produced consistent 5-shot 5/8" groups at a touch over 3000 fps with the 125gr bullets. I have taken it out to 700 yds and was able to hit grapefruit sized rocks no problem at that distance. Personally I don't think I could ask for anything more from a bone stock factory rifle that cost me $500. :D

Are you infering that LAR-15 mags are not "legal" to use in a Mossberg MVP...?

He's talking about the 30 round body mags not the LAR mags.
Even if used in a bolt gun any AR rifle magazine is limited to 5 but the LAR (AR pistol) mag can legally hold 10 in any rifle it will fit into.
Sounds like the guy he was responding to is from the US.
