Hi all,

Sorry if this is out of hand, or against the rules, but I'm at my wits end and hoping someone here has some clout there.

I've been trying for the past month to successfully sign up on huntingbc.ca, and it isn't working out. My account is never approved, and subsequently gets deleted. Emails to the admin aren't working...help!

I'd like a place to find someone local to me to mentor me, and hopefully that's the place... It just seems whoever runs the site isn't good at the internets....

I've had the same problem with trying to get on with a hotmail account too. Maybe it's gmail & hotmail, I don't know. They just seem to be supremely intent on keeping new members out, so #### em. I'll post my questions here.

That's pretty much exactly it, however I went through an additional process to add my email to a whitelist...didn't work I guess...

It's completely unreasonable to require a ISP based email address in this day and age. Gmail is far and away the best solution to a myriad of problems, and a sizeable chunk of the internet uses it.

Sad part is I was looking to sign up for a new hunter education course on there, but the forums wouldn't allow me to post, PM or email members... The event organizer posted no outside contact info so I can't contact to support the class.

I just got the same saying im not allowed to join, an Admin quickly replied with this: "Someone accidentally deleted your membership while you were in queue. The reply is a generic reply to those that are spam. I'd suggest you try reregistering, it had nothing to do with who you are or not meeting any requirements."

And I used gmail too.
 
I just went through the same thing as well. My first profile was using a hotmail account and I couldn't post or reply to anything, after a week of sending pm's asking for permission my account was deleted for no reason. I tried again and used a gmail account and was approved to post within an hour.

Sighned up for that forum , looked it over for 2 days, never made a single post and have never looked at it again.
 
I've been there for a few years. some good guys and interesting info, and I got a great deal on a Sako in their classifieds...:)

Not much traffic compared to CGN if thats what you are comparing it to.
 
I've found that huntingbc was good for some fishing info and tips but when it came to hunting and firearms/reloading questions this site was a MUCH better resource.
