CSA VZ 58 Mag Well Adapter Question

This is a question for people who have purchased and installed the CSA mag well adapter (.223).

I recently received one, and after completing the installation, noticed that the mag well is missing the button to release a magazine, as well as the magazine catch on the opposite side. After contacting the vendor (a site sponsor), they told me that the adapter does not come with these parts.

This doesn't make a lot of sense to me, as every picture I've seen of these adapters shows the button and magazine catch, including the one on their website, and the instructions that came with the adapter.

Can anyone verify if their CSA mag well adapter came complete, or if you had to source the button and mag catch separately? If you did have to source these, can you recommend where I can locate them, so I can complete my build?

Thank you,

The adapter in this Youtube video appears complete, and he doesn't mention having to get these parts elsewhere.

Mine came complete, agree with @5440fight that they may not understand what is missing or have you sent them the same photos?

I did send a photo. The reply was that they checked with their gunsmith, and checked all their inventory and none of them come with... I thought that was strange, and am waiting on another reply from them to see where we go from here. Maybe they received an incomplete batch? Stranger things have happened.

I originally bought the polymer adapter, but later elected to go with the Bruger & Thomet adapter instead (much more robust).

If you do not get any resolution regarding the missing parts, let me know...I may be able to help you out with what I have!

Much appreciated yardie. I think everything will be sorted out this week. Another vendor may be doing a trade with me and handling the return. Just have to wait until they receive their inventory in the back. They're currently buried on a pallet :)

So where did you get the Bruger & Thomet adapter and how much if you don't mind me asking? And I very much like the peep sight. Any info there would be appreciated also.

Cheers!

No worries at all!

Wolverine Supplies, they also performed the milling necessary to fit the adapter as I have an older CZ 858. I was quoted a month turnaround...they smoked that in about 2-1/2 weeks I believe.

Very happy with their service!

Peep site was a purchase from Rauch Tactical when he was active on this site, he was also the individual who offered the ferritic nitrocarburizing for a short while. Consensus seems to be it wasn't cost efficient to strip/blast/treat/return the rifle for the so few shekels he was charging. I believe he only ran 2 - 3 batches and that was it, only a few lucky peeps got in on it.

I would like to find a few B&T adapters as well.

Again, Wolverine Supplies.

That adapter is for 7.62x39 though.
