2010 Yukon trip ** PICS WARNING!! **

I recognize where you were hunting.................spent a week there but didn't get lucky at all. I went on a similar trip with Ted and Marg and we needed an Otter to get our gear in, travelling light means something entirely different to Ted. But were we comfortable...
Congrats on the placing of your Boo, another buddy took an almost identical bull out of there years ago with a very similar score. I was the first one to score it for him and I believe IIRC it was 424 and change gross.
Ted has helped a lot of people hunt the Yukon for a reasonable cost as opposed to having to buy a full blown outfitted hunt. He is a great hunting ambassador for our Territory.

Yes he has. My two trips to the Yukon have been highlights in my life, only made better with friends like the Wagners.

If I was given the opportunity to hunt anywhere in the world, I'd head right back to the Yukon, hands down! A horseback hunt fore moose (ala JOC) would be tops on my list.

Do those mid-September Caribou make decent table fare?
Mine was very fine eating, on par with a good moose only a bit sweeter.

I'm told that later when they get in the rut and stop feeding that they are a fair bit gross to eat and will stink out the house when cooked.

Mountain Goat, Mountain Caribou and Yukon Moose are all on my wish list, unfortunately I'll have to win a lottery to be able to afford a hunt like that. I loved the Yukon when I was there and the pictures from your 2010 hunt sure brought back some memories!
