Any of you running your Tavor without the coil spring in the trigger housing??? I'm thinking about taking mine out.

I am, been that way for some time....... I am somewhere around 5-600 rnds, I unhooked the spring after the first range trip.....

So far no issues, but I haven't exactly been running across country with a loaded rifle nor have I been bouncing down bumpy back roads with a round in the chamber......

It does significantly help the trigger.......

Thanks a bunch. Will remove mine tonight. I have unhooked it before and it does make a huge difference. I have searched around and the military version doesn't come with that spring.

From what I understand it's there to prevent problems with soft commercial primers, or is it Hard Mil-spec primers???..... The Military version doesn't have a firing pin spring either.

The first versions to Canada didn't have the firing pin spring (it's there to prevent slam fires) nor the extra trigger spring. But they do now! There were incidents with slam fires due to the floating firing pin. I'm not sure why they added the extra spring to the trigger group..... But the spring around the firing pin sure makes sense!

I'm officially addicted to TAVOR, I grab the last one from local store, ask for second but somebody already bought before me like 1 day ahead.

Here is mine :

Just finished getting caught up on this thread the pics are great I'm just waiting for a scope mount and then I'll post my Tavor. However the comments from the "holier than thou" gun crowd are disgusting, there is big difference between the Palistinian comment and what shooters like Presspass are doing on YouTube . If you can't stand beside all your fellow gun owners regardless of what they wear or what they shoot then do all of us a favor and sell your collections to someone who deserves them! Don't think for a second that once the anti's have banned all the "scary" guns they won't be coming for your hunting rifles and shotguns, we all need to stick together now more than ever.
