CZ 527 Kevlar scope fouling and bolt handle

So I have a CZ527 on the way in .223 Kevlar varmint. I am very worried though. I know the bolt handle fouls some scopes due to its angle it's made. I am wanting to mount a sightron 8-32X56 on her but I'm worried its going to be set far to high with some sort of rings to get it high enough to not be fouled. I also have a picitanny rail to attach for it to get away from the weaver factory base mounts. Does anyone know how easy it is to get the bolt handle modified to be bent lower? I know it can be done in the states. But can it be done here in Canada?

You don't have to bend the bolt, you can grind some material off of the correct part of the bolt. I did my own mod in about half an hour, including polishing and cold bluing the location that was ground and polished. Given that you will have to mount the scope quite high to clear a 56mm objective, you won't need to remove a lot of material.
 
I have bent mine in the shop. First cut a piece of cardboard the proper fit with bolt and scope. Then put the handle in a vice and heat with torch .Bend and check with your pattern. Having a pattern will save having to take off bolt several times to fit properly. Clean up and cold blue.
 
from what i've seen you can just grind off a bit of the bolt handle. I haven't check to see if you can order an extra one from CZUSA and sent to Canada if you want a spare. If you don't mine me asking, where did you find the rifle? been sort of looking for one myself.

As for where I got it from. I got it from prophet river. But I haven't actually got it yet. Might be selling if I decide to go another direction. So if you want it then I can exchange it straight to you if you wish. I'll let you know. PM me so I don't forget.

Cz usa does not ship anything out of the usa. Check out the other cz sites for getting stuff shipped here.

So do many companies who sell firearms in the states...

It's the importation that stops them. It's a heads up to say we don't want the hassle of sending you stuff.
 
Zeiss Conquest 50mm 6.5-20x. I think they're Warne rings for CZ on mine. Bolt clears perfectly. It's a good setup for the 527 Kevlar. Not need to modify it.
