Been watching Band Of Brothers again and the shoulder holsters that some of the men were carrying caught my eye, and it would be neat to have when I buy my 1911. Any one know of a company or store that sells them? I think they are called the M7 patter holster. I see that Marstar has them, but they only have the tan color in stock, and I would like the chest nut brown color instead.

Thanks.

Thanks,

On a side note, I wonder how much a custom one would cost, with something Canadian like a C broad arrow stamped on it instead of the "US" markings.

I meant the second strap over the weak side shoulder. "Tanker" is one strap, ala Indy satchel or "murse". Correct me if I'm wrong. I've got a repro M7, discarded the second strap. Not comfortable at all.

I bought my M7 repro from Cabelas. It fits my G17 (snugly) and my TT33 (loosely) as well as my 1911.

"mountain state supply" usually have several types in stock,if not check back regularly.
I have got some cartridge boxes and a couple of musket slings and am quite happy with price point and quality.
Good service too, wont rape you on shipping

Picked this one up locally at a gunshow:

The '44 mfg Remington Rand 1911A1 pistola in it in pic #1 is authentic, though.... :)

NAA.

If you get a natural colored holster and then oil the leather it will end up chestnut brown. I used sno-seal on mine and rubbed it in with a hot air gun heating up the wax.

The repro M7 shown above looks pretty close to the original one shown below.
Keep an eye open on eBay.
Good luck in your search.

I have one in black, but I was disappointed when I got it as they obviously not made for 6'3", 260lb frames. If you are a slightly built midget, you may be good to go.

Was it the M7 style with the chest strap?
I'm 6'2" 200lb and there seems to be plenty of adjustment. Which part is to small?
