also thank you very much, I now have a few more things to check out, and someone pm'd me with a gun I think I will buy once I am done checking out the other stuff... its a shame the larger caliber stuff is 700$+

On speed in airguns. Am I correct when I say that airguns over 300 FPS used to be considered firearms and had to be registered? Obviously the registration is a thing of the past, except for Quebec. But... are they still considered firearms over a certain speed.

yes over 500fps but you need to 4.4 ot 4.7fpe <--- just off the top of my head not sure on ennergy look it up.
you need to be over the two to be a wepon but for hand airgun it's a different ball park. its a retricted and you need a Rpal and can only shoot it
at a range. but for rifle you only need the normal pal.

easier to reload airguns, also easier to convince my sister to let me take the nieces shooting with it :)

I can understand the "convincing" part but easier to load?...Those tiny .177 pellets (.22 aren't too bad) are way more fumbly for me than .22lr ammo.
The way I see it...if you're going to need a PAL to own a 500+fps air rifle I would just pick up a bolt action .22lr and shoot the "quiet" rounds (which are quieter than some air rifles) and have the regular ammo for other plinking. I understand pellets are cheap to buy but a decent .22lr bolt action can be had for under $200 where a quality air rifle can cost hundreds more....or am I missing the point?

Before I got my first firearm I used to buy airguns at this point I have like 10 of them (6 handguns and 4 rifles none of them exceed 450 fps) and I bought all of them from D&L they got good service (When they say your shipment is gonna arrive in 5 business days, they mean it no later).

Now if you want a powerful RIFLE, I recommend a precision rifle by Gamo, a very nice piece and its very powerful (1200 FPS) you need a firearms licence to buy it because it exceeds 500 FPS.

Since the last time I bought from them they got new products in so check their website they might have more powerful stuff in.

What's the difference between the 850 and 851?

Edit, ahh the stock!

How's the trigger on these guns and how many shots per fill?
Is it easy to adjust power?

I have a B50, it is pretty easy to adjust you just have to be handy. I presently have it at 490fps, it was never shot at the factory setting. Initially the main spring was changed to a softer Mcmaster-Carr and it ranged from 775-815-770 over 34 shots, I have been able to make smaller transfer ports from Acetal plastic and they brought it down further. It can also be souped up but I haven't tried that. I pump it to 1450psi and shoot to 900 godd for 60 shots, quite accurate but I redressed the crown just in case. I shoot Crosman hollow points and they are good up to 40yds so far. This gun does feel a little heavy and I cut the stock shorter, it has about 15 1/2" LOP which is alot for example a 30/30 winchester is 13 1/2" or a 1022 is also 13 1/2" and thats about what I like. My rifle is very well made, metal work was excellent, the trigger is very adjustable it's an exact copy of a Daystate Huntsman except the threads are different. Lots of info of you search on the chinese airgun forum thats off the yellow.
Also I got the Hatsan pump,it seems to be working very well so far, I've probaly got close to 1500 shots since the middle of December. Some times I pump it up 4-5 times a session.

Igot a Stoeger x-10 at Cabelas a month ago for $125.00+txs.1000 fps and it shoots fine! Can't wait for the crows to come back!!!

WhO cares why he wants it. It's a gun, it's different a lot quieter than a .22lr, so why not? I out a .25 cal 700fps springer off of air gun source. Goo to deal with a fast to ship.

I dare any of you NON beleivers to bare your ass with a target taped to it at 10 yds an get someone to take a shot with a
round of birdshot at ya !!! See how far you jump !!!

yep if you need a PAL i dont see the point in a air gun when a .22lr rifle can be had for much cheaper most older ones are under $150 thats even for cooey model 60's

Economy of force. Farmers can use them in calving sheds and barns to kill rats or pigeons without poking holes in the ceiling. Ever been around pure bred arabian horses? You just say boo and they freak out and could stampede themselves onto nearby barbed wire fencing. That could be a $25,000 stud/show horse. Just two reasons that airguns can be very useful in some situations.
