Hey all,

Just a question to anyone who has owned a NR KRISS for some time, or has a decent round count in one. How are they holding up in the long term? Any huge issues other than normal wear and tear?
I understand the fake can/shrowd is just alluminum but does the extended barrel have any issue's or wobbles? I would hope it holds up and is solid.

Also I have been looking in the EE and cant really find any for sale, what is a average price for a used one? Or is it worth it just to buy new from a dealer.

Thanks for any and all input!

About 600 rounds through mine. Not a single hickup. I paid $1600 for mine, shipped with a few extras. It had only seen a few hundred rounds. I thought that was an excellent deal.

Im not crazy about the NR barrel... but im hoping someone will make a quad rail for the front that will cover up some of the barrel, like an AR. Until then, Ill take the long barrel in exchange for 10 rounds, pistol mags and almost unending attention every time I pull it out of the case.

Not a single issue with mine. Probably 800 rounds total through it. Accurate and easy to fire. Cleaning all the nooks and crannies can be a bit of a chore if you're a neat freak like me, though..........LOL

I had a massive problem with mine, and since it's been fixed I've put about 1,000 -1,100 rounds through it without a single problem. Runs like a dream. The massive problem I had was that after the first approx. 40 rounds through it, I heard a "tink" and heard something rattle around inside the gun. Then I couldn't even pull the charging handle back. After further inspection at home, the trigger hammer had broken in half, essentially. Took about 7 months to get it fixed and back in my hands. It turned out there were some weaknesses in the metal they used in a certain batch for the trigger hammers. Since they got it back to me, like I said, I haven't had a single FTF, FTE, nothing. The thing shoots and ejects perfectly every time and is lots of fun!!

If you're thinking of getting one, I'd say go for it! I'd buy the Restricted version too because I think the short barrel is pretty cool but buying one was expensive enough, lol.

I don't count rounds but my NR has seen a few hundred and it functions perfectly with factory 230gr loads and my 200gr JHP loads. Seems to cycle everything so far. Just don't lube with grease in the winter, that was the only time my hasn't functioned 100%.
$1600-$2000 seems to be the price of used depending on round count and included extras.

So how accurate is the Vector with long and short barrels? What is the effective range before the bullet drops? Any difference in muzzle velocity between long and short barrels? This gun is starting to intrigue me.

I zero'd mine (NR version) at 50 yards (3-4 inch groups with factory loads) and when I went over to the 200 yard range to do load testing with my rifles I decided to pull out the Vector while letting barrels cool , I flipped the peep to the small hole and was dinging the gong 2 or three times out of 10, if I practiced a little more with it I could probably do better (I was giggling too much once I starting hearing the bongs).
Once it warms up a bit I'll do some chrony work with it and see what factory and my handloads will do (my chrony doesn't like the cold).

Just buy one, if you don't like it you can always sell it for close to what you paid. If you were closer I'd let you try mine before you drop the cash.

I zeroed mine at 50 yards with a Vortex Strikefire and it shoots 2-3 inches with cheap blazer stuff. At 100 yards it spread out to about 5-6 inches but was very consistent. Im going to throw a scope on mine this summer and see how much better I can do with it. I think its a pretty accurate gun for the round it fires.

Was in Wild West yesterday to pick an XCR, saw that they are selling the vector and they have one in the range to try out. If I hadn't of had my mind set on the XCR I probably would have went in and tried the vector, maybe even left with one! Oh we'll next purchase to make the wife super happy!
