As the title says, I've got another issue with my Polish TT33. In the first photo, the arrow is pointing to the portion of the slide stop that engages the magazine follower.

On my gun the magazine follower is jumping over top of the slide stop, as you can see in this next photo. This does not happen all the time, but enough so that it's a nuisance (I have 2 magazines and it does it with both). Getting the magazine out when this happens is a pain. Is anybody else experiencing this???

On mine, the slide release was bent, it had a gap like yours (see green arrow)

I bent it a bit so it would sit closer to the frame and it cured my follower issues and my touchy slide release issue.

On mine, it is actually square. What I noticed is, the pin (see arrow) is very loose (relative to the holes in the frame). The pin has enough "wiggle" that any pressure (from the mag follower) can push the slide release lever away from the frame. I was also thinking about bending mine inward, but I was afraid it would break. How did you bend yours?

I just used 2 pair of pliers with the jaws wrapped in electrical tape. And bend slow and steady, it's alot easier to bend than you might think.

I just bought a second Polish. Even better condition than the first, with a perfect trigger. It shoots nice tight groups.

BUT the mag does not drop free. The mag button takes a lot of pressure to release the mag, and then the mag has to be pulled out. it won't drop.

Any suggestions?

My mag release is the same way, don't know of any fix.

I have 4 mags, only 1 drops free, the other 3 all get hung up in different places. I think one of these days I'll figure out what/where I need to file or polish smooth to get them to drop free.

Remove the trigger and look at the catch mag release inside the frame, does it goes flush with the frame ? ( it should be), the other think, take the trigger and if the back frame of it is "bent" inside, it should be parallel.

I've found that, with recent Russian TT33 refurbs, new mag catchs were installed but not fitted and these sometimes protrude deeply into the mag. My Polish one doesn't suffer from this problem though. I'd look at the inside of the mag w/o spring or follower installed (and with the slide off.) You can scribe a line from the top if excessive and finish to suit.
The trigger bow is milled and i've never seen one narrow enough to bind on mag.

What I noticed is . . . my mags drop out freely when the slide is in battery, but they have to be pulled out when the slide is locked back. I never did figure out why.

Instead of a screw that you turn into the catch slot, the TT33 is a split pin (part of button) that you simply tap out.
Cheers,

Does the mag release come out the same way it does on a 1911? I have had to Dremal a little metal off the catch on a 1911 so that it clears the housing when depressed.

I believe the problem may be in the mag catch. I also have to press very hard and push the magazine up then out. I have 2 parallel score marks to the side of the rounded front of both magazines. Have not taken the time to pull it apart and dremel it.
