CCI Blazer New Stock ?????

I use a lot of Blazer and I have found the same results that a lot of others have, the 525 value bricks do not group as well. The lighter 'tin' coloured bullets that are seated in the white packs have more flyers (fliers?) and the dark waxy bullets are incredible. One thing I will add, the CCI SV's outperform Blazer in every aspect except velocity, value, and noise.

Looks to me like the ammo that you have in stock is manufactured by Federal, not CCI. Is that the case or is it CCI?

This is Federal's ammo brick:

One of the posts showing the difference between Federal produced or CCI produced ammo:

This is the Blazer the same as what is on your site:

Looks like the ammo holder used is the exact same as the Federal ammo......

Quoted to move this photo up...
Here's how I understand it based on this thread alone.
The darker projectile with the clear packaging and no "legs" is the good stuff, and comes in the flap closure brick.
This stuff I understand to be CCI produced.

The lighter colored projectiles in the white legged plastic packaging with the zip cardboard brick closure are federals -made -for CCI.

All I know is the dark/clear plastic shoots more predictably and my gun never chokes on it.
The other stuff is no better then any other bulk brick, which is to say you can't tell how lousy you're shooting for the crappy ammo.
Using it is a good way to break an extractor with stovepipes.

Now, I have found the white plastic legged "federal" stuff to have "lewiston" written on the smaller boxes, so wtf's going on?
CCI ships the boxing to federal and leave the plastic bits to them?

NO it is not !
You just sent me 5000 rnds
It dose say Lewiston but it is packaged like the federal Not in clear plates with holes
Thanks for letting me know. We requested only CCI when we ordered and all that we checked was CCI. We will check again, and speak to the supplier.

Confirmed by lot # the CCI Blazer 500 rnd bricks you are selling is made by Federal not CCI
Look at the lot numbers/letters on the box. CCI lot numbers start with a letter. Federal starts with a number.
Also if the last three characters are three numbers, it is Federal.
If the last three characters have one letter in it, it is CCI.
Black Bullet/Waxy Lube = CCI
Silvery Bullet/"Dry" Lube = Federal

The 5,000 that I received appear to be CCI based on the description of "Black bullet/waxy lube = CCI"
Also the Lot # appears to abide by the CCI description.

The case I received from CanAm (mid Feb. this year) are CCI...black bullet, clear holder.

Yes, I got your email and forwarded it to he office. As you will note in my post in the forum, I am away until the 13th

Don't forget they price match...just put the competitor info in the notes and it should be adjusted accordingly...unless what I've heard is no longer valid.

Do you still price match this ammunition? If anyone in the Guelph/Kitchener/Cambridge area is willing to split a case 3 or 4 ways, please let me know.

Wish I would have seen this thread before buying my case of these from CanadaAmmo, which I received last week. Mine are definitely the Federal with white trays. Tried them at the range last night in my Ruger SR-22 rifle and had several misfires and failures to eject. Not impressed.

I actually have had better luck and consistency with the considerably cheaper Federal Champion 525 bulk packs.
