You do need a BB when you shoot any IPSC sanctioned match.

There been some talks about BB courses for long guns in Ontario, but that hasn't happen yet. If interested, contact IPSC Ontario Black Badge Coordinator and express your interest in such course.

A long gun BB will allow you to participate into shotgun and rifle IPSC matches. Unfortunately currently there isn't many of them in Ontario (6 or 7 last year), but we are working on increasing that number...

Im a bit confused I have a BB but not for rifle or shotgun so than there are persons that took the course for long guns ?

You are good to participate in shotgun and rifle IPSC matches if you already have BB from handgun course.

I said, there are talks about long gun BB courses. But so far no such courses happen.

When I brought this up at the last year IPSC Ontario AGM, the idea was to allow people who are not interested in handguns to participate in IPSC shotgun and rifle matches. Comparing to several European countries, in Canada IPSC with shotgun and rifle practically does not exist...
 
They would be very usefull to help people with such issues as rules and proper handling which can be a bit different with the long arms.

If the shotgun/rifle match is an IPSC Sanctioned match you will need to have your BB if its not an IPSC Sanctioned match then you can shoot it with out your BB

So, if someone is only interested in shotgun, they will have to get rpal, buy a handgun and take bb course with it. That's sounds like a great plan to discourage people...

Yes, Kent, I have missed "was" in your post. So, are you saying that it may change now?
