Best .22

Check out the Browning Buckmark Camper - adjustable sights, easy to strip, clean, and reassemble, accurate, fun, and as reliable as a claw hammer. I'm still kicking myself for trading mine away...

I just bought one of these - Because of the rare availability of the Ruger's I decided to go with what I felt was the next best thing. I tried many regularly available .22 handguns and found the Neos grip to feel strange, the S&W 22a felt good but I didn't like the magazine release, but they do come with a lifetime warranty.

GSG 1911's are solid - if you get the new ones as the older ones I have read have many issues but the importer's customer services in replacing broken parts apparently have been fantastic.

I went with the Buckmark because the grips are great, for big and small hands. The bull barrel gives it some weight which I really enjoy. I have also read it eats up most ammo types. After much research it was the buckmark for me.

I will be more than willing to update results if I ever get my ATT. Ontario is getting worse for LTATT's after taking the CSSA safety course I was informed it would take 4-6 weeks which is high in my opinion but still acceptable I followed up yesterday on status and was now told due to the worker issuing the ATT's in Ontario taking 6 weeks of vacation between November and now they are backed up 3-4 months..which is insane. Needless to say such a large range of times given has certainly let me PO'd

Good choice, my wife has a Bukmark PLUS with UDX grips and won't let me shoot it.. :(

The odd time I sneak it away it was a nail driver like Steeltownguy said..

++ for Buckmark

Check buckmark, it has better trigger out of the box. Ruger is good, but it's more like range gun, built like tank, but you need to spend some time and money to improve trigger.
But you need to try both to see what is balanced and feels better for you.

Definetly stick with the GSG then.

If she has very small hands you MIGHT want to consider the Browning 1911 .22. For some odd reason they chose to make it an 80% scale size. Silly for regular adult hands but a really great option for kids or ladies with small hands.

By all means put your hands around a Browning 1911-22.
Same form as a 1911 but 80% scale. I thought it might be too small for my large hands but it's fine. My wife has small hands and loves it.
