hey there.
looking for a bolt or semi that doesnt look like aa assault rifle. do they make one ? or does anyone know of a make that will accept a civilian stock(monte carlo, paddle, whatever.)
It seems like all the 7.62's look like pure baby killing commie!! lol.. trying to avoid the sterotypes(ha ha ha)
thanks all

SKS, take about 3 minutes maybe longer if you've over indulged to remove the bayonet and cleaning rod. It will look pretty yocal friendly, kinda like a sporterised enfield and theres plenty of after market stocks available.

Ruger Mini 30 ranch rifle.

its in x39 and its blued and wood. with a short mag and a sling its pretty much exactly what you want.

get the trigger worked by Brimstone and you will have exactly what you want.

Ruger and Savage both make well made 7.62x39 bolt action, I personally have a CZ Bolt, one of the most accurrate rifles I ever shot with factory, mil surp ammo and handloads! Dale Z!

One person already mentioned it, the CZ 527 and it even has a single-set trigger. Out of the box and for their price they are most accurate.

The only one that looks like an "assault rifle" is an ak and we cant have those hear anyway. The rest are just rifles.

how about th cz858? use whatever gun you like if people get offended it looks like an "assault rifle" thats too bad for them.

CZ 527 is a great choice to not "offend" the fudds.

Looks like a cz 858 thats about it. I guess I'm not a blind liberal though so they dont look the same to me. Similar sure but not the same. We dont have full auto guns here(unless you are an ex cop hoarding a cache or a criminal of a different sort) The only way to get people not to crap their pants when they see a gun that looks different it to use them.

Are you sure about Savage. I haven't seen one. And I would buy one if I could. I have a mini 30 and have carried it in deer season. Very nice gun.

Trev... Savage does make one in the 10 FCM Scout bolt... I have shot it... Ruger also made the Hawkeye in 7.62X39... I don't think it is in the 2013 catalogue. I am still shooting my H&R 7.62 and lovin the round, it is accurate and fun to reload... I have been playing with Trail Boss and 160 grain hard cast for reduced loads... they are amazingly accurate and virtually no recoil, mind you there is not much recoil with max loads either...

Yes we sold a couple at the gunshop GMK Armouries where I work part time. GIVE THEM A CALL TO SEE IF YOU WANT TO ORDER ONE, WE MAY HAVE ONE INSTOCK? BUT I REALLY DON'T KEEP UP WITH THAT PART OF THE BUISNESS.
CHEERS dALE z IN t-bAY!

There's a chinese x39 bolt action available. Maybe someone can help... I think it was a JWR Rifle? Frontier, Canada Ammo or the SFRC would probaly list one under 'Norinco.' Cheers!

Norinco JW103 is in 7.62x39mm
The JW105(which is in stock @ some places) is the .223 version.

I just bought a Baikal single shot.

I don't think I would spend the money on the Norc. Just got a 105 and the stock is in need of redoing. It is accurate though. But very rough.

The CZ Carbine I bought was a gift to my Nephew for his 12th X-Mas! As I have no children I tend to spoil my nephews.
I had more fun teaching him to shoot centre fire ,than any rifle in my whole collection, wich is saying alot! We shot most Chezk surplus as I bought him a crate for his birthday last year, and it was so accurate that I handloaded mabey 200 rounds for hunting deer. The surplus shot less that an inch at 100 , worst was 1.25", and handloades were 3/4-1/2 at 100yards. It is too bad that CZ does not sell this as an action only like they do the other calibre 527 actions? I am going to buy a Sako 6PPC action repeater, and build a 7.62x39 with a 26" semi heavy barrel for target shooting as well as deer hunting.cheers Dale Z!
