20 Rds SVT/AVT 40 Mags?

I know what you mean, most collectors in US and Canada still believe in SVT Kovrov myth.

You are referring to SVT's with arrow in oval...As I understand it was plant # 460 in Podolsk which was evacuated to Zlatoust in October 1941 and became plant # 385. Zlatoust plant retained Podolsk logo. Tula plant was evacuated to Mednogorsk, plant # 314 in 1941 and SVT's produced there untill the end of production retained Tula star. Info from forum guns.ru

What I wanted to say in my previous post that Kovrov plant had never produced a single SVT rifle. This is a myth. Plants producing SVT's were: Izhevsk(arrow in triangle), Tula-Mednogorsk(star and 1942-1945 Mednogorsk only), Podolsk-Zlatoust(arrow in oval and 1942 Zlatoust only). Also, Podolsk-Zlatoust rifles were in more or less inferior quality than these from Tula-Mednogorsk and Izhevsk due to lesser quality control enforcement. All this info is documented(war time reports, meeting minutes etc...)and confirmed by existing Kovrov plant via telecomm. Info is from forum guns.ru

Italy built one that saw active duty, the BM-59. While it was not 30-06 but instead in 308, it was still a Garand variant. As for the comment of breakage, what about the M-14? The Garand can handle full auto fire just fine. If it couldn't, it wouldn't stand up under prolonged use in Semi-auto fire.

id call the m-14 a garand variant they are based on the same design so is the m1 carbine and the mini 14/mini 30
