And why exactly do you need a muzzle break?

Does the Muzzle flash blind you?
Or is the recoil unbearable?
In this case, the muzzle break will help to dampen the recoil, and more important the excessive pain in your bruised shoulder.:)

Nicelly outfitted rifle. I like the selection of no-alteration accessories that are available for the K31. I have a clamp-on mount for mine, but have yet to mount it as I'm still practicing with the irons.

What's the significance of the red markings on the mount screws? Is that remnants of threadlocker or point to indicate that threadlocker was used?

maybe you should get some "Try Actin" ( can be purchased in any pharmacy), it will help a lot to solve your issues.:)

I can't tell if you're joking or actually making fun of him for having a muzzle brake... so I'm going to leave that be.

BUT - I like it! Looks great, and must shoot like a dream.

Nice K31! I was debating buying the muzzle brake also, I don't mind the kick or recoil on the rifle, but I do like the look of the brake. Did you get the brake from Trade ex? Also where did you pick up the bipod adapter? I got a beautiful blonde K31 that I'm thinking of dressing up similar to yours.

Do you think a lefty would be able to shoot a setup like that with the offset scope mount? Wondering if it would be tough to get a decent cheek weld?

Funny you should mention that, and thank you for brining the subject up.

Swiss Products [Brownells, Grafs, Trade-ex?] make a left-hand op-rod conversion that is actually easier to use than the right-hand version - something to do with the leverage. Go to the Swiss Products site for ALL the details of their range of accessories.

I like this rifle setup! No lasting modifications, but bring a classic weapon into the modern era of accuracy... or at least as much as possible.

Forgive my ignorance, but have you bedded the action or barrel of this rifle? I don't know if the k31s benefit from that sort of thing.

Can you tell us some more about the bipod adapter? Who makes it, how does it attach, does it work on other rifles..

Thanks for sharing :)

Skaal-tel - ALL of these accessories are made by Swiss Products - look 'em up. They are made expressly for the K31 carbine, although now there is a clamp-on scope mount for the K11 as well.

Yessir - I know that it IS a straight-pull, after all, I've been shooting it since 1979. Also, while you are trawling through the pages of swissrifles.com, you might notice almost two thousand posts with my name on them.

Some of them are even informative. ;=/

Best
