Rifles used by Cadet Bisely Team of 1911

Single-shot .22s of SOME sort.

"Cadet" model Ross was officially/unofficially the 1912 Model, but was available in 1911.

Similar in appearance to these but Bolt Knob is not the same as ones I have seen. Perhaps earlier?

C'mon people who KNOW something: we need some help here!

I know not-thingg...nottthing.

Nice..er... Mauser(not) eh?

US Krag, I would think.

Bore too big for Norwegian, Danish are just too damn rare.

Many years ago, worked with a guy who was an Oberscharfuhrer in the Waffen-SS. He did a lot of time on the Ostfront, utterly HATED "Hogan's Heroes", which was high comedy at the time.

"They makes us out to look like fools! VE VERE NOT FOOLS!!!"

I can remember him roaring that as if it were yesterday. Never argue with the Oberscharfuhrer.

He was actually a good boss and I remember him showing IMMENSE patience and compassion for a Canadian sailor/cook who was screwed by The System after one of our destroyers shelled an American town one Sunday morning. "Long time passing......"

Please tell me more! :)

They are not Ross 1910, .22's nor are they any of the Lee Enfield or Enfield .22 training rifles. Barrels are too heavy for W/O Pattern, so I suspect they are a trade made rifle from someone like Parker, Tippins, Whitworth or any other of the great old target rifle makers of the period. The barrel profile suggests they are a purpose build single shot target rifle and no magazine is evident.
