Guys I need your imput.

When I was younger I was an idiot!( everybody sit down & stop clapping!! ) Since I wasn't into short bbl handguns at the time I didn't get the 12.6 designation on my RPAL. Now that I am older & want a snubbie THE MAN tells me I can't have one.

My question... Is there anyway of obtaining this designation? All my HG's are long bbl. I didn't have the foresight to get a Smith 686 with a 4" bbl ( bought a 6" waay back when ) as this would have given me the prohib status.

LongJohn.

"...Short and only answer..." Yep. The Socialist F**ks put a close date on issuing prohibited permits. No more will ever be issued. Shortly after the date they ended the fee($25 per firearm) for registering/re-registering too. Made thousands of instant paper criminals out of people who couldn't afford the fee.

It could be possible if you successfully built a time machine. Other than that you may want to look at some of the creative things that Ruger is doing with their 4.2" barrelled revolvers and there are also maufacturers that make restricted barrels for prohib pistols like Glock 19's and Sig P229's.

I am 12.6. Short barrel pistols look cool and are great to conceal but they are very loud to fire and harder to shoot with accuracy. IMO
