Ordered this last August ... My cheeks hurt from my s**t eating grin :)
 
even though its not a springfield i love mine to death , its my favorite rifle . im sure youll enjoy yours as well.

Reloading really brings out the fun for this rifle as well , better accuracy , and no more 20+ dollars a box for ammunition :)
 
"...a real Springfield..." Springfield doesn't make M14's. They make M1A's. Ain't the same thing. Same grin though.
Like triden says, completely disassemble and clean it before you shoot it. Varsol works well for both the stock and the metal.

Id rather have a Norc than a counterfeit Springfield Armory (Inc.) M1A. At least the Norcs a forged. But I'll stick with my LRB.

You may call it what you want norc M14. but in my mind the only M14 was the mil version that was select fire the rest are M1A's or a copy of one.

Thats just my 2 cents
 
Thanks dudes ! FYI it's a norc, took so long cause I ordered it from my local shop ... I was going nuts thinking about this thing , looks to be a good one nice black park, barrel is dam near indexed I can't tell if its off , op rod is a tad loose and needs a shim gas lock is still loose at 6 o'clock also I think I lucked out with the cosmoline it cleaned up quick with the simple green max hot water followed buy a healthy dose of WD40 and rem oil

Congrats, every :canadaFlag:CGNer:canadaFlag: should own at least one Norinco M-14.

P.S. If you get tired of the black stock, get a can of olive drab Krylon Fusion, it makes for a very purposeful look to the platform, and very cheap change. Black to me is more tacticool, best left for AR's and fighting shotguns, again just my preference, enjoy her as she landed!!

Thats definitly true. Springfield is by far a superior product. Im just kind of bitter of the fact that the all USGI M1A I used to have had an out of spec receiver. But im sure they fixed the cast they used for that one by now.

I haven't seen one brand new out of the box in a long time. I like those short barreled M14s. None of mine have a bayonet lug. The quality of machining looks very good in that photo.
