VIDEO ADDED..10-22 TD +Stingers +Butler Steel lip... Great trio...

Caramel - how do you find CCI Velocitor ammunition? For me they work better than the Stingers, and they have lots of jam too. I think part of the "issue" with Stingers is that they have a slightly longer case than regular .22 LR. I think that is possibly why some rifles really like them while others don't. Mind you this is pure speculation on my part.

Velocitors are always better than Stingers out of our guns... I have one semi auto, with the bolt tuned specifically for Velocitors... It is my dedicated coon gun... And I only shoot Velocitors out of it... I installed a heavy spring and I added molten lead into the cup of the Superior Concepts charging handle to add a smidge of weight... It functions flawlessly.

I have no success with any other high velocity ammo, iv'e been shooting Stingers forever, i buy Eley target for my 453 set trigger and my browning T-bolt, the CZ is my most accurate rifle printing .6 or less all the time at 85 metres, but they jam in many semi du to the subsonic thing,. JP.

Subsonics cycle semi auto's just fine... But in a quality gun, you have to tune the bolt for them... Ironically the sloppier the action the better it functions with a wider range of ammo... In a better gun with close tolerances in the receiver and bolt and a tighter chamber, you usually have to choose either subsonic or HV ammo... They often won't do both with the same set-up... I have bench semi's that are tuned for sub-sonic ammo only and they function perfectly and the accuracy would amaze some of the bolt action crowd (although, I guess I am one of those too). My HV semi's can't keep up in the accuracy department... Most of them are plinking or hunting guns and are acceptably accurate for those purposes... Used mostly with Mini-Mag. HP's and solids and the one Velocitor gun.

JP.

A little off topic, but a while back I tested a whole pile of .22 ammo out of a Sako Finnfire and a Brno 2E. The RWS R50 and Federal Gold Medal both did very well, but the real surprise was Remington Target, which shot just about as well as the two expensive choice mentioned. Other non-target stuff was good, but these three were the best. Another surprising result was the accuracy of Remington .22 Subsonic HP ammo.

If a rifle shoots 3 MOA, a great shooter won't make it 1 MOA?
On a rifle rest i agree, on the bag to many variables and one of the biggest is the shooter, when they advertised a rifle MOA out of the box, how many actually shoot MOA out the box... Not many... JP.

Dig out a video from last summer shooting a 20 rounds group with Stigners with my SR-22 the action occur between 1.46 and 3.25, this is 50 metres, but still it showed how good those bullet group, this was semi rapid fire, if i had shot slower the group would have srink more... This summer with my new system i will do one at 100 yards... JP.
