Just wondering what a 28 gauge Winchester Model 101 might be going for these days?Shotgun is in great condition, blued receiver ,with 28 inch barrels, choked full and modified.I have heard that the tighter choked barrels are harder to find in the 28 gauge Model 101.

What grade is it? Is it a field grade, Special Quail, Pidgeon grade ? If a field grade in quite nice condition I would say around $1200.00-$1400.00 give or take as a starting point.

It is a field grade.Shotgun was made in 1968.

Gunsaholic is correct at $1400 for the blue book value for your vintage field grade in excellent condition as I know all of your guns are from buying some. That being said they have not been produced since 1987 tough to find in 28ga and excellent working guns. Yours is probally a japan made which goes for a lot more in the ic/mod choke so assume the full/ mod would be the same. If sk/sk yes I would say 1200-1400 but $1800-2000 is where I seen the few others I looked at that sold in the past few years. take care

Thanks for the replies .I had heard the guns choked other than sk/sk were going for a little more. From what I have been told more of the skeetguns were sold than the field guns.

Yes the shotgun was Made in Japan.
