I want to buy one but they look like they have plastic feed lips, who makes the best and most reliable drum mag. Im assuming that for the most part none of them are, lol.

Pretty sure they have steel feed lips. As far as I've heard, drum mags are hit or miss. Some are flawless, but the next on is problematic.

I believe Questar just gotta whole shipment of BDM mags in, check with them.

Let me know how they work out for you, hate to spend that kinda money on something with plastic feed lips.

Should you ever wear out the feed lips... it's easy enough (and cheap enough) to replace the tower.

It's not really for me, gave me enough greif I'd sell the thing and not be too upset. I know I can fiddle with it an get it working but I can't be bothered.

It is plastic feed lips, but as mentioned by sillymike, you can replace the tower assembly. They are listed at $24 on the Black Dog Site. It took a while to sort out mine. Found it worked fine with most 40gr round nose lead ammo, but a lot of FTF's with most types of hollow point ammo. It's nice to have, but I find I spend most of my range time shooting my BC 25 round mags as the drum takes about 5 min's to hand load, and the BC mags can be loaded in 20 sec's using the the loader. Also, when the drum is fully loaded, it gets a little heavy so when firing off a full drum in my SR-22 it get's a little tiring and those last rounds tend to wander a bit. It is fun to rapid fire off 50 rounds though.

For what it`s worth...

My magazines work good using a factory barrel or NEA's. But I get quite a few FTF with the GM barrel.
I've switched the barrels between guns, same result.
