Sellier & Bellot Small Pistol Primers anyone use them?

They are awesome. Harder than Federal, but what isn't? Very consistant.

I bought them initially because they were cheaper and I was willing to try them for practice ammo.

Truth is as long as I seat them firmly, I have no problem using them for match ammo.

Those who have used them - how do you find they load in a dillon 550 (if you have a 550)? I used to use CCI's but they feed badly. Federals feed much better. S&B's seem to be a great deal though....

I can't speak for the 550, but they feed just like Federals in my Dillon primer tube filler.

Cool thanks. I may grab some myself, mostly for a glock 17. Everything is stock so hopefully light strikes will not be an issue.

buddy, long time reloader, bought some as its all he could find, loads mostly in dillans and is talking of switching over completely as he likes them so much. they work very well for him in 550 and 650

Has anyone used them in the Lee Pro 1000? I am thinking safety in the priming system. The packaing looks 'small', like Rem's, as opposed to the more sensitive Fed's.

Loading them in 9mm for my M&P9, and in 38 Special / 357 for Cowboy Action loads.

May use exclusively from here on out. Bought them when I could not find Winchester, and they have been fine.

Seems to be easier to get, and quite a bit cheaper too.

I use the Lee Auto Prime to seat them, and they work smoother than any other I have used.

I use a pro1000 and Lee recommends CCI, but when I first tried the S&B because I could not get CCI I had 0 problems. I have loaded 7 or 8 thousand now and am completely satisfied with them.
