Just ordered from Questar the first time (ASC LAR15 mags) and wow, perfect experience.

Lots of confirmation emails and the mags just arrived 2 days after I ordered and are amazing quality. Tolerances pretty much a dead match for my pmags.

My shooting buddies in Georgia (very pro gun state) tell me that they are seriously concerned that 30 round mags might be banned (down to 10 rounds like us) soon.

The local stores will only sell 2 30 round mags to any one person at a time, and this is the stores that even have any, most don't.

So what you ask? IF the 10 round mag law goes through us Canadians can forget about ever getting any 10 rounders any time soon.

As of today Questar shows 455 in stock. That was 990 when I ordered a few days ago.

What colour are the followers in those mags? Have any pics? Just had to file down a bunch of new LAR15 mags I purchases elsewhere, just wanted to make sure these ones fed properly.

I feel sorry for what the Americans are going through, but... our countries have been through this before

Also, American mags aren't the only game in town. Europe is ramping up production to fill the US gap.

Commercial ventures aside: I remember before all the ITAR crap, buying gun parts including mags (minus the receiver) from the US. Is there any reason why I couldn't order gun parts/mags from somewhere other than the US without issues? Can I personally order 10 rd mags from, say France?

Get 'em while you can?

Are they not making them anymore?

Questar has the best price , but everyone has them.

With over a million ARs sold in the US in the past year and the 30 round magazine being the standard magazine for those rifles... it doesn't matter how many companies make alternatives, every one of those owners will need to buy at least 1 replacement magazine.

I'd say go for it. It'll probably be cheaper and less hassle. Some european countries don't even require export permits for most gun stuff (minus receivers).

The specific country doesn't matter. The point is that any magazine manufacturer can manufacture whatever you'd like, and do so quickly if they already have the dies. There are plenty of manufacturers to choose from in Europe and Asia.

This can't be accurate, they have crappy followers, rough feed lips, and often need the front filed or rounds won't come out of the mag

They are much better after some smoothing and magpul follower installation, but far from pmag quality

Their 10-pack used to be a pretty good deal.. esp when purchased during boxing week. :)

Doesn't look like they have that deal anymore.

+1. He clearly hasn't used them yet. They go down at the worst possible times, Ie: competition.

They are nice to have, but, yeah, for the most part, a big letdown otherwise.

Isn't Beowulf the hot ticket.
It should be, but supply and demand is an issue. There's been plenty of talk about .50 Beowulf mags coming, but nothing solid has materialized. Hence, the price of mags on the EE.

Then again, hey, based off what I've read on CGN, some people like the fact that they have access to cheaply made and priced ugly and awkward little 10 round magazines that are prone to failures, jams and finish issues.
