Hey there, CGN!

I have Mossberg on top of Mossberg on top of Mossberg for a change! We've received the second half of our spring shipment of Mossberg products and it's already running out the doors upstairs! Here's what we got in the door:

Mossberg 590A1 Blackwater Edition

Mossberg's 590A1 series represents the pinnacle of American-made pump-action 12GA tactical firearms, and has been selected by the USMC and numerous other organizations as their standard issue combat scattergun. The Blackwater Edition comes complete with Picatinny rail and low-profile ghost ring sights as specced by Blackwater's training center, as well as all of the standard guarantees of Mossberg's 590A1 line.

Mossberg 590A1 Special Purpose

The Special Purpose line of 12GA shotguns from Mossberg has long been a standby of the law enforcement community, specifically for the durability and tactical accessories offered by Mossberg for use on SWAT weapons and patrol weapons. Offered to sport shooters in recent years, the Special Purpose 500s, 590s, and 590A1s have proven popular due to their adjustable stocks and pistol grips.

Mossberg 590 Persuader

Mossberg's 590 Persuader offers the standard 590A1 package at a lower cost with a commercial finish instead of milspec parkerization. Bayonet lug, ghost ring sights, dual action bars, supported magazine tube, high capacity, and a heavy wall barrel -- plus the rugged 590 action selected by the USMC in open competition over the 870 -- all for an affordable price point.

Mossberg 500 Thunder Ranch Edition

In co-operation with Thunder Ranch, the 500 Thunder Ranch Edition features everything you need in a defense or tactical purposes shotgun, and nothing you don't. Specced out to Mossberg by USMC veteran and Thunder Ranch instructor and founder Clint Smith, these shotguns are built to give an advantage to shooters looking to defend themselves or law enforcement officers who need a reliable, well-designed long arm. Each 500TR features a breaching compensator for reduced recoil and improved breaching capabilities, an 18.5" barrel for easy handling indoors, and a high visibility durable front sight. This loadout gives shooters the tools to perform well no matter how cramped the space, how heavy the slug, or how long the shot!

Mossberg 500 Just-In-Case

The Just-In-Case series of shotguns has been a best-seller for years, featuring a pistol grip Cruiser pump-action Model 500 with survival gear and supplies sealed inside a weather-resistant, heavy-duty protective tube case -- perfect for long-term storage just in case of a future problem, or short term storage in remote camps or locations where elements are inclement.

Mossberg 464ZMB

Mossberg's 464 action has been a venerable .30-30 lever rifle for years and years, proving itself every hunting season. Today, Mossberg makes the 464ZMB, an adjustable, lightweight, modular lever rifle for shooters who want the option of modern optics, modern accessories, and an adjustable length of pull for compact storage or smaller-frame shooters. Thanks to polymer and aluminum construction of the furniture, the 464ZMB weighs less, and thanks to fiber optic sights, the rifle shoots just as well in low light underbrush as it does at the range.

This Mossberg shipment may be the last big one we see for quite some time due to US demand, but at least we got some cool stuff for now!

Cheers,
Daniel

Order placed for a Blackwater 590A1. Been looking for one of those for a while. Didn't really want to buy it right now, but what the heck.

P.S. I hate you. :p

P.P.S. Thanks!

Why the Blackwater edition over the regular 590? Is it basically the same gun with a few accessories on it?
Yeah, it's basically the same basic gun as all the other 590A1s (not the 590 though - the A1 has upgraded parts like heavy-walled barrels, metal trigger guard, metal safety and ghost ring sights instead of bead; also, most 590s have blued barrels while the A1s are parkerized). All of the A1s are basically just accessory variations on each other. I like the Blackwater one because of the picatinny rail on the receiver -- I plan on mounting an optic on mine eventually, so I like the built-in rail.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused. The 590 Persuader on the site says it has the heavy barrel and both metal trigger guards and safety. Does that make it an A1 or just a Special Purpose?
Also, I'd be concerned about shredding my fingers on that railed fore grip.
Advantages of Speed Feed on Blackwater to a side-saddle?

Haters gotta hate. That thing is as ugly as sin. Seriously... fun on a bun? Hideous on a stick is more like it.

Man Im cheap and like plastic guns. I don't own anything in 30-30 and don't plan to. But at under $500 that ugly hunk of crap is tempting. Those are 1am purchases. A ton of coffee/beer/alcohol in you, visa is empty and you just can't resist an ugly cheap gun. After staring at the thing for a half hour you whip out the damn wallet and just do it. After that its like banging an ugly girl........... Do you tell your friends???

You tell your friends you got a good deal on a '94 or 336 in 30-30 on the EE.

That's what you do. And don't be making that #### up either.
