I've never owned one, but I thought Kimber was supposed to be a high end handgun. The Glock may be a good pistol but I just can't bring my thinking around to buy a plastic gun. I do like the 1911 type pistol and I like stainless and blued steel. I won't be doing anything particular with this pistol as I quit competitive shooting years ago and my eyes will never allow me to reenter the game now. I will definitely be loading for it and they will all be jacketed full house loads, if I wanted a 40 S+W I would buy one but I want a 10 mm in all it's full glory. I don't care if it costs 2K I want a gun that's accurate and will stand up to a lifetime of 10mm loads. Does this narrow the field a bit? The pistol probably won't see 10,000 rounds in my lifetime as I have too many others to shoot as well. I had one of the first production runs of the Coonan, this was a beauty in both form and function. A truly high quality pistol in all aspects and I would like a 10 in the same class, if there is such a thing.
I like the looks of the Smith, wanna sell it?
stupid me sold it a few yrs ago......regret that too

Kimber's are nice pistols just not "semi-custom high end" .....that's when you get into wilson/nighthawk/ed brown territory
