This Is the first time firing the rifle doing a rough sight in at 25 yards , it was shooting way high so I cranked the scope all the way down shot five one inch to the left so I clicked it 1 inch to the right and this is the result

Make a note that the sights are now set for about 300 yards.

If you want to shoot at, say, 100 yards, come down about 4 minutes.

Getting a rough zero at 25 yards is a good idea. I have seen a lot of rifles miss the entire paper at 100, so 25 is a good place to start.

Our club (Guelph) has a bench with target frames at 25, 50 and 100 yards. I have seen guys get a rough zero at 25 and then shift to 100 yards, RAISE their sights and then wonder why they missed the paper. They should have lowered their sights.

Your scope is higher above the bore than the iron sights, so a 25 yd zero is about the same as 300 yards. With irons sights, a 25 yd zero is about 225 on the drum.

^ that's what I figured as well it will probably shoot a few inches high at 100 I was thinking of doing a 250 yard zero to make the hold over easer on the 300 yard gong , also I think the scope is all the way down cause of the rail

The rings are so low that the scope has no ability to be adjusted back or forward here is a different view ... It feels good when I shoot , this scope is just my spare optic at the moment not sure what to put on it for good I guess it will depend on the results I get with hand loads and minor tuning

Nice shootin'...is that MFS steel case ammo.?

No it's not MFS it's Hornady's steel match just a box of 50 I got at bass pro so that I could do some shooting and sighting ... I'm gonna do up some hand loads Tomorow ... 150 game king I'm gonna try 39.5 IMR 3031 2.75 coal with win brass and cci lr.200 primers see how it works , all I have right now is a rcbs Match full legth sise die I have read that a small base is the proper die to use when I put the once fired brass in the chamber the bolt closes I think it will be safe once I sise it

I have many semi autos and pumps. have never needed a small base die. if your empties go back into the chamber, for sure a regular sizer will work. Your load sounds nice and mild. Should work well.

I load for the Norc M-14 a regular full length sizer works well. The load you mentioned shoots well in my rifle. My rifle does like a heavier bullet better though. Good luck they are great rifles.
