.308 & 30-06 - What powder for both?

I use surplus powder from Higginson's (WC735). I buy it in 21lb lots for $17 a pound.
Being a cheap-assed SOB, I have been using this powder for everything for years. .223, .243, 7.62x39mm, 7.62x54Rmm, .303Br, .308, .30-06. I have loaded every weight of bullet in each. Though, while not the perfect powder, it works just fine and has never failed to bring home dinner.

X2 for him being a cheap....

Buy a reloading manual or two, buy and try whatever powders you can actually get.

I like the ball type powders for the most part, but it's all good!

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions everyone. And yes both of the rifles are bolt actions. 30-06 is a Husky 1600 and the 308 is a Rem 700 LTR. I'll see what the stores have in stock!

Best results I yield with my .308 / .30-06 reloads is with IMR4064. YMMV

I have found 4350 and similar slower powders too slow for .308.

For the two 308win chamberings here, I use IMR 4320.
