Like the title says, what 243 is in your safe that you will just simply never sell?

Now, I'm not talking about the gun that your father gave you, or your great uncle gave you, no sentamental value guns here. I mean the rifle that you can take the center out of a toonie with at 100 yards.

List the brand, model, and any modifications that you've done to it.
 
Remington 700, totally stock.
was my first deer gun and coyote gun on the farm.
ive even taken it out gopher shooting because i have it dialed in so nice!
but i lent it to my mom a couple years back and i haven't gotten it back. I doubting that ill see it till she retires from hunting as she likes it so much.

though my dad did pick up a Thompson Center Venture and i must admit that im really having to force myself not to buy one.
for the $545 price tag you get a rifle that feels fantastic and comes with their upgraded trigger assemblies, plus they come from the factory with a Hogue stock that has nice sticky panels for extra grip and they guarantee it to be hitting under 1" at 100 yards MOA.

in fact.... what the heck am i doing here.... im just talking myself into buying one of these!
i know i want one, i have the money for one, yet i dont have one!
and here i am selling how good they are to people i dont even know!

hmmm, well i know why i havnt picked it up.
there is a 6.5 Creedmore for sale that is super nice i have had my eye on.
but thats almost double the price.

Mid production era Model 700 in .243 Win. Bedded by previous owner but after that all stock. It is known as "Little Death" by the guys I deer hunt with. It sports a Bushnell 3200 Elite. Not fancy but a great deer rifle. Oh ya it is VERY accurate.

25 year old Remington Model 700, Leupold VX2 4x-12x, HS Precision stock.
70 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip for groundhogs and coyotes
95 grain Nosler Partition for White Tail and Black bears

A few weeks ago I got a H&R Handi rifle in .243 from Prophet River firearms. Synthetic, camo stock, open sights.

I haven't shot it yet but I suspect it's going to be my fave for a while or at least until our kids are old enough the wrestle me for it, lol. :D

The .243 is more then enough for our island critters.
 
Rem. 700. Started out as a 1971 ADL in 243.

Now it's a 243 AI. Boyd's prairie hunter stock, pillar bedded. With a DM. Timney trigger Action was trued, factory tube.

It's currently wearing a redfield 4-12x40.

I posted pics and results in the factory hunting rifles thread. It was my first rifle, received from my dad. It is my sons first rifle, hopefully his sons/daughters as well. I harvested my first deer with it as will my son. Hopefully so will my great- grand kids........

I don't have any now that are super accurate but they shoot well enough to be my go to hunting rifles for deer and coyotes.
I have a 7400 and two 7600 remington pumps all early high gloss wood models with 3-9 scopes
