I bought a butler creek steel lip 25 round mag a month back with the idea of getting a 10/22. Today i got my new dlask action and barrel so it was finally time to try it out. I knew right away when loading it wasent right. There was no pressure on the bullets and they could actually fall out of the mag if you turned it on a angle. The mag is binding internally. Sometimes you can load 5 rounds, sometimes 10 before it locks up. If you bang on the mag hard it will jump and put pressure back again. Has anyone ever tried lubing the internals of the mag? I'd hate to spray some crap in there and make it worse (Not that it can get any worse). I will assume its a bad idea seeing as the lube will get on the bullets also.
Overall not impressed as its the only mag i bought and it doesn't work right from new. Add the fact everyone is sold out, and i'm really bummed.
