CZ 858 in 6.5 Grendel

Is it possible to convert a CZ to 6.5 Grendel? The case is the same isn't it? Wouldn't one just need a new barrel?

Would the Grendel stack fine in a 7.62 mag? I don't see why they wouldn't? I think Herron might be making some money soon haha

I wouldn't think the Grendel would feed worth a damn through an x39 mag, it has almost no body taper and the shoulder is much sharper and moved back slightly from 7.62x39. I think you would be better off buying one of the mag adapters that let you run STANAG mags through the CZ and using AR mags meant for the Grendel.

I was thinking that the RobArms XCR pistol mags in 7.62x39 might work, they certainly can hold the case OD and they don't have the big curve like an AK or 858 mag.

I think so. But that is an easy thing with a CSA adapter and it doesn't require machining the receiver or any other permanent mods.

Guys, you'd only be trying to get 5 rounds in and out - that's the top inch or two of a magazine, does body curve matter when it's empty anyway???
