That's great. Good to have all the events listed in one spot.

Can you give details on cost, ammo and equipment requirements, timing to be on the range to register?

What is the best way for participants to contact you?

Fingers crossed I can fit in an event this season.

I would like to give this a run with my 20" service rifle as well. Any additional info would be great. bi pods allowed or not? Shooting off my backpack?

Precision Match Location: Amiens or Mons range, CFB Borden
Time: 07:30 sharp-16:00
Entry fees: ORA member $25 Match fee. Non-ORA member $45 Activity fee plus $25 Match fee

Have your rifle zeroed and know your scope elevation setting for the distances as there will not be time to sight in.

Matches can be shot individually but are meant to be shot in a team of 2, shooter and spotter. Should you not have a partner, you will be paired with other individual participants.

Use of spotting scope is highly recommended as the spotter will be required to spot the shooters shots and relay necessary adjustments.

I would also like to point out that any date on the ORA web site that says "Open Practice" means just that, open to all. Although you may not be able to shoot the whole precision program on those days you will be able to practice at whatever ranges are listed for the day.

I see a April 14 2013 open practice in Amiens Range. Is it for precision rifle?

Open practice means just that, "open to all disciplines". Same with the Mons practice on April 20th. However you should note (by clicking on the date on the ORA web page) what distances are planned for that days practice. You don't want to show up with you SKS looking to practice your CQB skills when the distances for the day are 900 and 1000 yards.

Amiens range only goes back to 600 yards. Since it is the first practice of the year, I would assume that it will start at 300 yards in the am and move back to 500 or 600 in the pm.

I had an opportunity to shoot my first ever Precision match yesterday and it was a great learning experience. I'd like to thank everyone involved at ORA for putting together a great program, and especially John, Kevin & Will for conducting an exceptionally well run match. I will definitely be back!

I also shot my first precision match this past weekend and had a great time despite the long drive. I also would like to thank John for clarifying a number of things about the match as we went through, Kevin and Will for both the coaching as I shot & spotter for the first time in competition, and especially Kris who paired up with me for the day, thank you for the tips & patience.

Hopefully I'll be back for the next match in August!

Cheers,

Andrew
