Thanks to all. I tried out the Beretta's. I was very impressed but a little put off by the price tag. I got a used A-5 im great condition and it turned our to be a perfect fit. It isn't really set up for trap but that didn't stop me from shooting a 23 with it. I wouldn't say it reduces the recoil at all but it cycles very well with Federal 7 1/2s. Two rounds of sporting clays and not one jam. I'm looking forward to some good shooting.

For those of you old enough to remember the Sperling road clay club in Burnaby, dad would
show up on occassion with his old beat up A-5.
His "pull" was a "HAAAAAAA" and on a good day he would im bare arse most of those with
their $2000 O/U's.
He's gone and the shot gun is here begging to be used.

Just for the record I have a Supe x 1 skeet gun that I bought used in 1975 it has more rounds through than all beretta,benlle"s combined and any other auto loader .nuff said on that topic today I would buy the sx3 , if u want to know how reliable the are he k out the Doveanator on u tube i defy any auto loader to pass that test
There will never be another semi like the superx1 regardless what they come out with. The old man had the gun shop in those years and in 74/75 ordered in three 2 skeet for us and a trap for him. He shot that trap all over canada and the US and it has well over 300,000 rounds through it and all I changed was a bolt buffer. I remember reading a write up years ago that Bob Baumgart god rest him had one there with one million rounds.
One of the best write ups I recall on the x1 was this one. I still have four I think of the 8 or 9 dad gathered before he passed and they will come to the grave with me.
