I have just started the gears in purchasing this gun. Am I silly for thinking of using this for a regular shooter. I have no safe queens and don't want to ruin a rare gun but isn't something this beautiful meant to be used?

usually I'm all for shooting your guns, but if it's the $4200 one on armc's site I'd invest in a regular or tuned one to shoot regularly and put the special edition in the safe.
me thinks you may loose too much value if you make it an every day shooter.
unless of course cost means nothing then go to town

not worth the money in my opinion. if your heart is set on a shadow look at the canadian edition shadow.

or if i could give a suggestion take a look at the tanfoglio line of pistols. ive had a few shadows in my time and ill take a tanfo over it any day.

If you don't buy it let me know where it is so I can. Nothing better than shooting a race gun, they are a dream to shoot and a waste to leave in the dark.

Not the one from Armco but if that is what it is worth I got a steal.

Can't find much info on these reddogg69. 3 mags, special leather case, shaved safety and slide release, trigger job, gold accents, wide anodized grips, extended safety, high polish blue finish, and all are signed and numbered 1-333.
It is used consignment at a LGD and been fired I believe so for the price I paid it sounds like I will have a great shooter and conversation piece. I will post more pics when I get it home.

Guns were between 1500 and 1800 new when they came out. Nothing special done to them for fitting or trigger work. Frames and slides were hand picked due to bluing.

Thanks for the info Slavex. Most stuff I found was just in forums and I couldn't confirm anything. I read they were hand picked but was thinking from a production run. I don't think that was going to make the gun better in anyway other than looks like you said for the blue finish.

You can not ruine it. You bought it from Wanstalls correct? It was already fired 400+ rounds so any collector value is long gone.

That is good I sure didn't want to get beat up at the range by collectors. Yes to the bought it at Wanstalls as well. Even though it was a consignment I love those guys and buy all my guns there.
