Ao: just wanna say thanks for the info on the metric bolt. I didn't want to mess around recapping threads so sourcing the bolt was the best solution.. It was a pain finding it in cow town but found it at a mom & pop hardware supply. Thanks again all. Next step duracoat!

make sure you post the before and after pics and I cant eait to see the transition...what colour you doing? I just bought another 870 to do the zombie coat haha so hopefully it turns out good, if not I'll just strip it and do a straight black or OD

I know it sounds like an ad, and the fact that nutnfancy is an advocate of the stuff on yt is almost enough to drive me away, but I Duracoated 2 870's last year, and was very pleased with the results. I'm no shop wizard either.

its very simple to use and is an amazing firearms finish if you take your time and make sure you prep right anyone should be able to do it..I have done lots for friends and word of mouth and never had a complaint, knowing that once it's duracoated and rust proofed is enough to make anyone sleep better at night haha, any moisture on an 870 from factory will look like a giant carrot overnight hahaha seen it first hand so now every time I buy a new gun it gets duracoated without question.
